Orin Swift has been making deeply flavored wines with an attitude for a good long while now. Their high-octane, and bold blending are just a couple of things that help them to standing out from the crowd of the many other bottles out there (not to mention their awesome, sometimes shocking labels of course). Orin Swift is the origin of the Prisoner Wine (before the brand got sold into a spin-off) and the 8 Years In The Desert is supposedly a nod to the winemaker, Dave Phinney, not making a Prisoner competitor for 8 years due to a non-compete agreement. Well, we are on the third version of the 8 Years In The Desert now, which is the 2019 vintage, and with a revamp to the recipe, and a fresh look this bottle makes a big statement. The juice inside more than follows through. David Werlin Redneck Wine Company
