The price of Oregon Pinot Noir has never been particularly low compared to some other winemaking regions. That's doubly true about wines made with mountain fruit. So, to find such a killer deal on something like the 2019 Colene Clemens Dopp Creek Pinot Noir from the Chehalem mountains is something of a rare treat. 94 points and with just so much complexity in every sip, under $30 is my kind of price point! The 2018 Domaine Pierre Gelin Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru is a different kind of rare, there is actually very little of it even made. Only 125 cases are even made, and of that, just 100 cases get imported to the United States. 97 points and high regard from around the world decorate it's list of impressive qualities. Here's a description from the winery highlighting some more of them: "Chambertin- Clos de Bèze is one of Burgundy’s great wines. Ripe, fleshy, full-flavored, and intense, the wine tends to have deep color, sturdy but beautifully integrated tannins, and can age for many years in a cool cellar." David Werlin Redneck Wine Crew
