97pt & 93pt Italian Red Stunner Bottle Deals! Don't Miss Em!
I'm sad to say, I somehow missed out on trying the 2015 Montiano from Ricardo Cotarella when our first round came in. I was sad for a moment that is, but then boy was I happy because I got to taste a sip! WOW this wine tastes fantastic! Seriously, that just happened. If you must know, the wine is 100% single vineyard Merlot from Lazio, but really, all you need to know is it's full bodied but very soft and smooth, yet bright and lively too. Someone (likely a few people) were really paying attention when this was made. Oh, and it got 93 points (which is actually unusually under-scored in my opinion) and best yet, it's ready to drink tonight! We also have some more of the 2016 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Brunello di Montalcino, and trust me, you really want to know why it got 97 points (hint: the 2016 being one of the best Brunello vintages is memory is just one of the reasons). To find that out though, you'll need to try a glass yourself. As Tim says, "Do yourself a favor, and pull a cork." Stay safe, stay healthy and drink well. David Werlin Redneck Wine Crew
