Winemaker Notes

Brilliant color, nice cherry red with some garnet highlights. Expressive, the nose open out notes of ripe red fruits (raspberry, redcurrant), very tasty, with some toasted notes. Pleasant, very supple and silky on the palate. The Château Bonnet is well balanced and accessible for immediate tasting. There are gourmet notes of fresh red fruit (Morello cherry), but also dried fruit; all of this is associated with aromas of mocha and chocolate. Tannins are present, but round and pleasant. The finish is marked by slightly more woody notes.

This is a wine to be enjoyed with grilled meats, but also with lentil soup, quiche lorraine or chicken sauté with mustard and carrots.
