Deep red. Perfumed aromas and flavors of violet, minerals and spicy dark plums. Very juicy and fresh in the mouth, with noteworthy salinity on the long suave finish.

Winemaker Notes

A biodynamic red made from the indigenous grapes Frappato and Nero d'Avola by the iconic producer Arianna Occhipinti. Hints of dried herbs and fresh, wild berries. Medium bodied and expressive, this would make a great pairing with grilled fish or eggplant.

Blend: Frappato 70%, Nero d'Avola 30%

Winery Notes

Arianna’s home town of Vittoria lies in the far south of Sicily just to the west of Ragusa. It is here that she has been making wine for the past ten years under the tutelage of her uncle, Giusto Occhipinti who owns and runs the famous COS estate.
