After the perturbed and difficult year 2013, we wished a more serene 2014 vintage. The spring took place favourably with a sweet and dry weather, which compensated the particularly wet winter. The starting up of the vegetation is beautiful with a nice power considering the low level of the reserves stored in the autumn 2013. The blooming takes place under good conditions. However, the months of July and August are exceptionally wet and cold. The Veraison is thus long to take place, the vegetation is very lush, and our team is extremely busy containing this vegetation to create a climate favourable to the maturation of the grapes. This meticulous work will contribute to maintain a good sanitary state, and the particularly favourable conditions of September will allow us to harvest serenely with a good level of maturity our white Sauvignons and our Merlots. These exceptional conditions will last long enough to be beneficial to our late Cabernet Sauvignons.
