Winemaker Notes

Aged 20 Months in Bourbon & American Oak Barrels. With an abundance of zinfandel grapes on our Boutz Ranch Vineyard and our family's interest in bourbon whiskies, we took the risk of entering some unique territory. We have aged this wine for 20 months in Bourbon barrels to impart distinct flavors of toasted toffee and vanilla while still carrying the plush Zinfandel characteristics like strawberry, red cherry and black pepper. This wine is great for backyard barbecues or late nights around the campfire.
