93pts James Suckling
Notes of ripe plums and black cherries with layers of spice, such as anisette and cloves. Hints of chocolate, bark and wet stones. Medium-to full-bodied and tight with firm tannins. Round and velvety structure with a juicy-fruit sensation. Long finish with a floral touch to it. Merlot and cabernet franc. Very attractive.
92pts Wilfred Wong
The 2019 Chateau Martinet is generous, persistent, and slightly elevated on the palate. TASTING NOTES: This wine delivers aromas and flavors of forest floor, earthy notes, and black fruits. Enjoy it with deep-fried quail. (Tasted: June 10, 2023, San Francisco, CA)
Winemaker Notes
A lovely dark red color. On the palate, an intense, complex bouquet with well-defined tannins and a harmonious finish. Hints of undergrowth, vanilla and dark berries in the nose. Well-rounded on the palate, with elegant tannins paving the way for a smooth and long-lasting finish.

Rooted in a superb sand-gravel soil, the vines benefit from constant care and attention from the owners. Regularly acclaimed at international wine fairs and contests, the wines of Château Martinet are blessed with a complex array of subtle flavours, accented with delicious red berry notes.
