Winemaker Notes

Les Pentes opens precise and well defined on the nose with delicate stone fruit aromas and flinty/stony notes. Full-bodied, almost lush and lovely piquant, this is a very elegantly textured wine with a refined mineral acidity and a perfect balance of fruit, body, minerals and acidity. The finish is tight, salty and seriously long.

Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes

Aromas of chamomile, honey, and stone fruit give way to a rich, full-bodied palate of ripe pear and fresh meyer lemon. The wine is balanced by a pronounced acidity and delineating mineral note - silex - that elevates this Sauvignon Blanc into a class of its own. 

Winery Notes

If the name Dagueneau rings a bell it might be because of the most famed Pouilly-Fume producer there ever was, Didier Dagueneau. The wild man of the Loire who was making the most sought after Sauvignon Blanc, like in the world, before his passing in 2008. His son is making the wines at his domaine now but there are other Dagueneau in the region and this is Didier’s niece making these wines. Full of flint, grapefruit, stones and fresh green herbs. Deep and long with curves.
