91pts Wine Spectator

A vibrant backbone of acidity defines this harmonious rosé, with the satiny texture carrying a subtle mix of blood orange, slivered almond, pink grapefruit zest and smoke notes. Drink through 2019. 11,000 cases made.

91pts James Suckling

Showcasing a wealth of sweet-smelling strawberry fruit aromas and rose perfumes, this has an attractive, direct style to it. The palate's fleshy and directly flavored with red berry fruits, handy depth and drive and a fresh cherry finish.

90pts Decanter

Based on 2015, with 10% 2014 reserve wine, this is a blend of premier and grand cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit, mostly coming from Deutz’s own old-vine vineyards in Ay. It has a lovely sweet attack with great acidity, showing notes of rose, wild strawberry and a light touch of savoury toast and brioche. It's supremely well balanced and precociously enjoyable. 2015 wasn't the easiest of vintages in Champagne, but you'd never know on the evidence of this well crafted fizz. Drinking Window 2019 - 2023

90pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The NV Rosé Brut offers a very clear, fresh and delicate bouquet of floral aromas and red fruits. On the palate, this is a light, fresh, finesse-full and delicately fruity Rosé of great purity and elegance. The dosage is perfectly balanced. This cuvée is based on 2012 and 10-15% reserve wines from 2011; it blends 80% Pinot Noir with 20% Chardonnay. The pink color comes from 7-9% Mareuil-sur-Ay red wine.

90pts Wilfred Wong

The Deutz Rosé Champagne is quite beautiful. This wine exhibits tart to ripe red fruit flavors. The wine's perkiness makes it an ideal pairing candidate with lightly grilled salmon. Drinks well now. (Tasted: September 26, 2016, San Francisco, CA)

Winemaker Notes

This has a many-hued color with strong pink tinges and fine bubbles. The nose is fresh and direct, with aromas reminiscent of cherries, blackberries, pomegranates and red currants. On the palate, the wine shows a deliciously full body that follows on perfectly from the nose. Its flavors remind one of fresh strawberries and raspberries. The finish has a pleasantly acidulous character that adds to the impression of finesse given by this romantic and well-balanced wine.
