A subtle but not invisible application of wood frames very ripe aromas of poached plum, black currant and earth. The plush, velvety and fleshy medium-bodied flavors exude evident minerality on the firm, palate coating and moderately chewy and rustic finale. This robust effort is clearly constructed to age and is a wine that will need at least some forbearance. Barrel Sample: 89-92
Frankness with a lot of minerality. This wine, deep in color and with frequent black fruit aromas, does not line the palate but possesses a great deal of rectitude. There's no aggressiveness in the tasting, even if a touch of acidity can be felt in the finish. This wine is pleasant thanks to its fresh and subtle nose and its direct character, refreshing and not at all heavy.
