93pts James Suckling
This amalgam of various parcels is a very complete and approachable version of the Domaine Serene style, delivered with ripe red and dark cherries, as well as gently savory elements on the nose. The palate is well structured and fully formed with abundant ripe blueberries and cherries in the main. Their hallmark of fine, sturdy tannin structure is here, too. Drink or hold.
Limpid ruby-red. Ripe, spice-tinged red berries, candied flowers, mocha and smoky minerals on the perfumed nose. Silky and open-knit, offering intense raspberry, cherry and lavender pastille flavors that become weightier as the wine opens up. Shows fine clarity and floral lift on the long, incisive finish, which is firmed by a lively mineral quality.
Fresh and vibrant, the 2017 "Yamhill Cuvee" exudes pure and refined elegance. Introduced by a fetching floral nose, intense pure fruit flavors of strawberry, dark cherry and tart cranberry burst on the palate. A veil of complex notes of mulled spices, forest floor and chaparral balance the fruit-driven essence of the wine. The mouthfeel is dense with pure, rich texture and fresh minerality, integrating the structured tannins, leading to a smooth lingering finish.
