92pts James Suckling
Blackcurrant, plum, pine, tar and licorice aromas. It’s medium-to full-bodied with sleek tannins and fresh acidity. Concentrated with a juicy, spiced finish. Drinkable now, but better in a year or two.

The 2019 Fabre Montmayou Reserva Malbec feels a tad more rustic than the 2019 Viñalba that sells at a similar price. Perhaps it's because the grapes here come from Luján de Cuyo where the ripeness tends to be higher and the wine is a little earthier. There is a sensation of a certain lightness in the palate, and the tannins feel a bit naked. 275,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2020.
Deep red color with violet tones. Very intense bouquet with red cherry fruit and spices. Complex and well-balanced with vanilla and chocolate notes from the oak. A modern style wine, with sweet silky tannins.
Great with all kind of grilled meats, games and cheeses.
