92pts Tasting Panel
Soft pear nose; creamy texture with a lovely, balanced style and good length; juicy and bright with lively acidity, vanilla, and oak.
This wine appears light straw in the glass with aromas of toasted brioche, baking spices, and candied lemon rind. On the palate, the Carneros Chardonnay is full-bodied and creamy yet balanced by lively acidity; with nuanced flavors of yellow apple, lemon curd, baked pear, melon, and subtle hints of oak toast.
The foundation for our Carneros Chardonnay is Frank Family’s Lewis Vineyard, located in Napa-Carneros, where San Pablo Bay meets the end southern tip of Napa Valley. Here, the cool, maritime climate and restricting clay loam soils oer optimal conditions for growing superior Chardonnay. Additional vineyard sources include some of our long-term grower partners such as Beckstoer Vineyards, Hudson Vineyards, and Sangiacomo Vineyards, a family who has grown some of California’s most renowned Chardonnay for three generations.
