Brilliant ruby. Vibrant, highly perfumed red fruit and floral scents show excellent clarity and pick up a hint of smoky minerals with air. Juicy, focused and light on its feet, offering subtly sweet raspberry and candied rose flavors sharpened by a jot of white pepper. Finishes racy and taut, with no obvious tannins and strong tenacity.
Guy’s Beaujolais Villages “Marylou” is sourced from the Saint Joseph and Grand Cras subzones of the appellation, about 500 meters from his Morgon vines. The wine is named after Marylou, Guy Breton’s daughter.
