92pts James Suckling
A wine that delivers a very fragrant, floral edge and has a deeply integrated array of violet and red plums, as well as tomato paste. Half the wine is aged for nine months on skins and this has really meshed the tannins nicely. A blend of 96% cabernet sauvignon and 4% cabernet franc.
89pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a dark-fruited core on the nose, with hints of dust and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, a subtly sweet and smoky tone lingers in the mouth with structured tannins across the mid-palate. The complex mineral core is showcased on the lingering and precise finish. It’s a delightful bottle of Cabernet, and it's keenly priced. As a wine reviewer, I focus on what is inside the bottle, not what’s on the label. But in this instance, the label is absolutely mesmerizing and unforgettable. You’ll want to pick this one up and try it for yourself.
This vintage of Intrinsic has a wonderful floral nose, complemented by aromas of cherry and leather. The flavors are layered with tones of blueberry jam, pomegranate and chocolate. The texture is rustic, yet silky, with a unique savory and inviting finish.
