Warm aromas of peach, honeysuckle and white melon are edged by a steely minerality on the nose of this single-vineyard expression. The palate lands with a creamy mouthfeel, carrying satisfying flavors of butter, baked nectarine and coconut flake, leading into a toasty finish. 

Winemaker Notes

Our Soberanes Vineyard Chardonnay is a blend between two famous Chardonnay clones: the new world Old Wente and the old world Montrachet. Aged on the fine lees (sur lie), there is a richness and complexity in texture that balances the present and refreshing acidity. The 2019 vintage highlights the citrus zest and the chalky minerality one would expect from the Santa Lucia Highlands and particularly the Soberanes Vineyard. The lemon zest acidity is backed by a subtle French oak presence and a refreshing finish.
