91pts Wilfred Wong
The 2017 La Storia Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent example of what Sonoma County can produce. This wine is bold, with loads of black fruit in its aromas and flavors. Pair with oven-baked short ribs. (Tasted: March 11, 2020, San Francisco, CA)
90pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon La Storia haas notions of cast iron and graphite over blackcurrant aromas with touches of cedar and fresh tobacco leaves. The medium-bodied palate is restrained and minerally with a grainy frame and long, fresh finish.
This 2017 La Storia Cabernet Sauvignon has a dense ruby-purple color followed by abundant varietal aromas and flavors of blueberries, blackberry and black licorice with a hint of herbs and ripe olives. The predominately French oak aging contributes aromas of vanilla, cocoa dust, and slight toast. The mouthfeel is medium dense, fresh and juicy with balanced acidy and very soft tannins for a young wine. The alcohol content is balanced and the acidity is relatively high suggesting excellent longevity for this wine.
