92pts Wine Spectator
Solidly built, with a core of cassis and blackberry compote flavors that pushes forward steadily, while tobacco, singed cedar and loam notes fill in along the edges. The fruit powers through the finish. Best from 2020 through 2028. 900 cases made. — JM
The 2016 Mason's from Lewis Cellars has yet to be professionally reviewed, though the 2015 did receive a 91-point score from James Laube, who worte: "Modest yet complex aromas lead to an intense profile, making this a candidate for short-term cellaring, with powerful flavors and tannins. Best from 2021 through 2030."
