In 2015 Russian River Valley experienced little rain throughout the year, this left us with smaller berries and fewer clusters. This increased the juice to skin ratio and packed these berries with flavor. In the glass this wine explodes with aromas of raspberry jam, black cherry, rose petals. Hints of black tea and cedar box emerge towards the finish. The pallet brings forward some lush fruit tones with strawberry characters leading the way, while apricot jam and a fig breakthrough in the background. The long lasting finish entices you for another sip while the medium to full body provides a wine that will open in your glass to share all the beauties of Russian River, from start to finish.
