Bold black-plum and wild-berry aromas on this wine are supported by hints of dried herbs and grainy oak. The wine feels tight and slightly raw. Zesty acidity lends tang and tension to red-berry and plum flavors. It is firm, minerally and juicy on a finish with dry tannins and a hint of vanilla. Drink through 2027. MICHAEL SCHACHNER

Winemaker Notes

Garnet color, with a high layer. Its aroma reminds of carob, ripe black fruits and chocolate, with touches of licorice. In the palate it is round, structured, with flavours of black fruits and vanilla. It is easy to drink and sweet in the mouth.

Blend of 60% Carinyena, 10% Garnatxa, 21.83% Cabernet, 5.70% Syrah & 2.47% Merlot

Soliterra comes from selected vineyards with a low production whose grapes are controlled by manually harvest, cluster by cluster, with a careful selection process. After harvest, the grapes were placed into tanks to perform alcoholic fermentation, remaining the grape juice and its skin in maceration for 24 hours, followed by malolactic fermentation with controlled temperature. This wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Finally, the wine was matured in the bottle. Soliterra is a wine of great finesse, typical of calcareous soils with little water retention.
