Deep garnet-purple colored and a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec, the 2015 Rabicano offers crème de cassis and blackberry preserves on the nose with touches of cedar, cinnamon toast and dried Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied with a firm, grainy structure and solid core of fruit, it finishes with very good length and plenty of layers. Reviewed by Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Tamber Bey's estate-grown wine, Rabicano (pronounced Rab-i-kawno),  is a masterful blend that exhibits the unique traits of the Deux Chevaux Vineyard: a strong core of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with the bolstering power of Petit Verdot and the aromatics of Cabernet Franc. Rabicano has a deep, black-fruited, juicy core, rich tannins and a lasting finish.
Tasting Notes
The fragrant nose delivers aromas of fresh-baked cherry pie and cookie dough combined with baked rhubarb, black tea and cedar notes. The mouthfeel is seamless in texture from beginning to finish. Juicy black pitted fruit evolves into a strong finish of cigar box notes.
