Wairau River Pinot Noir hits the spot for quality Pinot Noir at a competitive price. With aromas of raspberry and cherry fruit and hints of pepper and spice, leading into a generous palate of red fruits and plums framed by subtle elegant tannins providing structure and depth. The result is a savoury and very approachable Pinot Noir with a long and persistent finish. A dry, light to medium bodied Pinot with excellent balance, structure and finesse. A great alternative to a Pinot Noir from Burgundy.

This 2021 vintage has just arrived and we believe it will continue to develop and be ready for drinking by Spring 2023. If you wish to drink before that we suggest decanting to open up the flavours. It has all the characteristics of the 2020 vintage that was a big hit at our Christmas Tasting 2022.
