Still quite leesy from long sur-lie maturation, but with a bit of air, bright lemon zest and sliced pear fruit, plus a whiff of vanilla open up. Excellent balance of substance and apple freshness, the textural complexity binding these things neatly together. Lovely freshness at the finish.

Scheduled to be bottled in later July or earlier August this year, Kracher's 2020 Pinot Gris Trocken offers a clear, fresh and even mineral bouquet with flinty and fine phenolic, almost peppery notes. On the palate, this is a fine and juicy, very elegant and stimulating, medium-bodied Pinot Gris with a stimulating saline finish. Tasted at the domaine in Illmitz, July 2022.

Notes of dandelion and beeswax frame the core of white peach and persimmon in this medium-bodied white. Moderate length on the finish.

Winemaker Notes

Pale green-yellow with aromas of fine fresh apple fruit, honey melon and a hint of wild herbs. Juicy on the palate with elegant texture, there is discreet acidity and white tropical fruit flavor. Fresh citrus and minerality on the pleasant finish.
