Tonight we are taking a wine journey glass by glass through Frances Rhone Valley. Being it's summer and a humid 90+ degrees outside we will be showcasing more of thier whites and some bubbles. Reds will certainly participate in this line-up, don's panic. 
I was never a white wine drinker until I met a Rhone White. Complex with body and structure. Now I'm a white Rhone junkie. Can't seem to get enough, especially when I'm starring down a dozen raw oysters. It's a guilty pleasue.

So I highly recommend joining us for a trip through the Rhone Valley with Paul Dietz leading the way. Paul is a dynamic speaker with loads of knowledge from growing up in Australia and being around his family's restaurant, which has one of the largest wine collections in Australia. It is often referred to as the Bern's of Australia. So, Paul knows his stuff. Plus, he can also be quite charming and entertaining!

"Saint Cosme - located north to the village of Gigondas - is the most ancient estate in the region. Lying on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa which very probably already had its own vineyard, the estate's existence in 1416 is attested by a document mentioning the granting by Jean de Chalon, Price of Orange, of "land for the planting of vines on the Saint Cosme slopes." The Barruol's ancestors acquired it in 1570, and at the end of the sixteenth century built a splendid residence over existing cellars."
