Boasting ripe, dark red fruit tones, the 2018 Z is focused with a frame of oak before swaying with red and purple flowers and ripe, dusty plum. Medium to full-bodied, the mostly Merlot blend shows an expressive and elegant frame with soft herbal essences, juicy and succulent black cherries and subtle herbal notes of sage. It ends with a broad and tannic edge on the long-lingering finish. I'm going back for seconds. It's a well-made, delicious wine. Give it a try.

This full-bodied red offers delicious notes of chocolate on the nose and palate. Rich flavors of baking spices highlight ripe notes of raspberries over a smooth texture. The finish is long and earthy.

De Toren Edition Z is inspired in honour of 15 years of “Z”, as it is affectionately referred to, while also paving the road golden for its future… This soft, approachable red blend is a true testament to vines lovingly reared and winemaking raised to an art form.

De Toren Z was created by design born of cool ocean facing vineyards high in clay content conditions intensely suited to the planting of Merlot. Affectionately called ‘Zee’, this approachable ruby-hued beauty takes its name from the cooling Zephyr breeze that air-conditions the ocean-fronting vineyard block of its origin.

This wine is a very versatile food pairing wine due to its great acidity and weight. It works exceptionally well with very fine spicy foods. Its aromass of mulberries and blueberries perfectly complements rich fish, lamb, duck, beef and poultry.

Blend: 47% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot
