Winemaker Notes

Pastel pink with soft rose undertones swirl in the glass in the classic "eye of the partidge' color this wine is named after. Aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, grapefruit and orange blossom invite the first sip. The palate offers bold flavors of strawberry, raspberry and lemon drop swirl along with notes of tropical passion fruit, guava, and hints of kiwi for a supple mouth feel. With its bright acidity lingering through a long-lasting, satisfying finish, this wine will have you begging for a second glass.

Oeil-de-perdrix, French for "eye of the partridge" is a traditional term for this wine's seductive color. To capture this shade along with the wine's crisp acidity and bold berry flavors, they lightly press Pinot Noir whole clusters, then allow the wine a brief affair with French oak barrels during and after fermentation.
