About the Wine
When the months pass after the harvest and vinification, some barrels stand out for the intensity of their aromas, for the subtlety of their notes, for the complexity of their flavors, for their elegance. EL is generally composed of a majority of Malbec, balanced according to the characteristics of each vintage by Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine only comes from exceptional harvests.
About the Winery
The Cuvelier Family started in the wine world in 1804 as a wine merchant and over the next 100 years acquired several estates in Bordeaux, including Château Léoville Poyferré, Château Moulin Riche and Château Le Crock. In recent times, merging two centuries of French know-how with the Argentine experience and the Mendoza terroir, the Cuvelier Family launched Cuvelier Los Andes, with 55 hectares of organic and biodynamic vineyards in the Valle de Uco, planted with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
Seeking to implement their Grand Cru Classé de Bordeaux production techniques in the Uco Valley, the Cuvelier Family have developed excellent wines with a signature Bordeaux style and created Malbec-based blends, which are proudly presented as the Argentine cousins of Château Léoville-Poyferré.
