Tasting Notes

The Domaine Joost de Villebois, Pouilly Fumé is pale yellow gold in color, with on the nose orange blossom, lime, a bit of freshly cut grass as well as some notes of iodine and flint. Medium-bodied, with notes of lime and lemon pith, some herbaceous notes, a touch of saline, earthy minerals, followed by a bit of white peach with mouth-watering acidity and a moderately long finish.

Like nowhere in the world, the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety reveals its full potential thanks to the diverse terroirs of Pouilly. Thanks to rigorous work in the vineyard and the winery, J. de Villebois encapsulates the spirit of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation.
