This 2023 Single Vineyard Estate Riesling from Eden Valley is tight, mineral, spicy, super fine and lit up by a mainframe of acidity. It’s exciting to drink; the texture is chalky and fine, and the flavors linger and curl through the finish like wisps of smoke. What a joy. Seriously. Great wine!

This is a good estate riesling. A great go-to. Scents of Rose's Lime, quince, baked apple and tea tree, the acidity sneaking up to impart a gritty finish of talc and vitamin C, detracting. Just a bit shrill. Nevertheless, this will age well for those in pursuit of the Aussie style. Drink or hold.

Winemaker Notes

Pale straw in color with green hues. Intense aromas reminiscent of fine dried herbs, white flowers, lemon and lime. The palate shows great length and depth with grapefruit and lime, fresh rosemary, white pepper and a hint of tropical fruit. The wine finishes with a fresh natural acidity which balances the flavor intensity, and a minerality that will reward medium to long-term cellaring.

Enjoy on its own, or with seared scallops, Thai noodle salad or salt and pepper squid.
