94pts James Suckling
The lead pencil and black berry character is all here with some grape skin. It’s medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins and a slightly chewy finish. Crushed stone. Typical for the appellation.
Winemaker Notes
From its inviting aromas of Damson plum, blueberry, black licorice and sarsaparilla to its holiday spice undercurrents of cardamom and cinnamon, this tantalizing wine rises from the glass beckoning a first sip. On the palate, a lovely mélange of dark red and black fruit flavors glide across plush tannins, with hints of incense, earth and graphite adding depth and nuance to a long, mineral-driven finish.
Blend: 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 6% Malbec
