This deep violet-colored wine has a bouquet of Chambord, crumbled sage and aniseed. Brambly fruit of the wood, dark chocolate, black olive paste and licorice flavors are set into plush tannins that coat the tongue and gums. A shining streak of acidity brightens the palate from first sip to finish.

A harmonious version, with a firm frame of fine tannins enmeshed in a concentrated range of crushed black cherry, rose hip and eucalyptus, mocha, iron and leather notes. Long and lively on the palate through to the spiced finish. Drink now through 2030.

Winemaker Notes

Intense black-cherry color with violet hues. On the nose it expresses its complex, balsamic, aromatic intensity, in perfect balance with the fruit and the lightly toasted aromas which recall fine oak. On the palate it is smooth and full, in harmony with the fruit, with good concentrated tannins, round and with a long finish.

This wine pairs well with ham, mature cheese, red meat, all kinds of roasts and game casseroles.
