The 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico from Bertani is an outstanding expression of the classic Amarone style, showcasing the winery’s dedication to traditional winemaking. Made from 80% Corvina Veronese and 20% Rondinella, the grapes are air-dried for 78 days, enhancing their concentration before undergoing fermentation and aging for seven years in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by one year in bottle. This process results in a wine of great complexity and depth. On the nose, it reveals floral aromas of violet and hints of cedar, along with earthy notes and a touch of tar. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, with bright acidity that highlights flavors of red berries, licorice, and subtle smoky notes.
