A structured and focused red with aromas of wild berries, dried herbs, bark and baking spices. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. The structure is omnipresent here with an oaky feel at the edges and a spicy touch as well. Focused and serious with a long flavorful finish. Drink or hold.

Winemaker Notes

Clean and bright with a black cherry hue. Complex with aromas of ripe black fruit and liquorice with notes of roasted coffee beans and touches of vanilla and pastry coming through. A fleshy entry with well-balanced acidity, a good presence of tannins which provides nice length on the palate. Black fruit aromas with liquorice come through followed by a sensation of sweetness in which vanilla notes come to the fore.

A perfect accompaniment for red meats, such as sirloin steak with mustard in a red wine sauce. It is also the perfect accompaniment for feathered game, such as pigeon stew with mushrooms and truffles or with duck magret in a blueberry sauce.

Located in western Spain in the province of Zamora, the winery is built on a sprawling ranch, where the 250 hectares of high-quality Tempranillo vines produce wines that are large in volume, structure and depth.
