The Meriggio 2024 is bright, crisp and refreshing, all qualities that make it a good choice to drink now and over the next few years. Dried pear, flowers and camomile give it a lot of character.

Tasting Notes

Pale lemon in hue, Meriggio opens with lifted notes of citrus blossom, green herbs and subtle tropical fruit. The palate is vibrant and saline, marked by a mineral backbone and a long, elegant finish. This is a beautifully restrained yet expressive Tuscan Sauvignon Blanc, capturing the Fontodi hallmark of balance, finesse and site transparency. Ideal as an aperitif or with shellfish, salads or goat cheese.

About the Winery

Since 1968, Fontodi has been owned by the Manetti family, who for centuries have been dedicated to another quintessential Chianti tradition: the production of its renowned terracotta. Reflecting this strong connection to the region and a passion for quality, the company has successfully focused on increasingly meticulous vineyard management and a deeper understanding of the potential of Sangiovese in the Panzano area.
