91pts Vinous
Dusty rose, spiced orange peel, crushed fall leaves, clove, cinnamon and dried black cherries form a darkly alluring bouquet as the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Cold Creek Vineyard smolders up from the glass. This is cool-toned and sleek, with ripe raspberry and hints of tart orange that introduce tension, all balanced by stimulating acidity. It finishes long and staining, with a pleasantly bitter twang and gently grippy tannins that add a crunchy sensation. The 2020 is beautifully balanced and a fantastic value.
Wine Spectator
This tightly structured version offers modest flavors of blackberry, cedar and dusty mocha that are framed by broad tannins. Drink now through 2028. 12,000 cases made.
Tasting Notes
One of Washington’s oldest & most acclaimed vineyards. Character builds season after season in the growth rings of the old woody vines. Sun-drenched growing conditions with low rainfall result in small berries with full-bodied flavors. This Cabernet has broad-shouldered structure, concentrated fruit characters and deep color.
Pair with beef, hearty pastas, veal.
