Stunning nose of Amalfi lemon, nectarine and white peach, together with notes of flint and freshly baked baguette. At once concentrated and firmly structured, this has so much earthy minerality that it already tastes very harmonious, although there’s plenty of acidity here. Only medium-bodied, but it makes a bold statement. The long, harmonious and precise finish fully confirms this.

Winemaker Notes

Melange, as the name implies, is a blend of Rieslings from various vineyard sites around Kiedrich, Eltville and Hattenheim, The vineyard soil types are also a melange: sandy loess / loam with quartzite as well as riverbed sediments with pebbles. Spontaneous fermentation followed by ten months on the lees. 100% stainless steel tank. Notes of peach, apricot and mirabelle, with a crystalline, dry finish.
