Good Superiore. Polished and contemporary, without quite hitting the sour, red fruited notes of the better traditionalists. Shows dark fruit and reductive hints of violets and camphor, with well-managed grape tannins and oak. Quite drinkable.

Winemaker Notes

The Valpolicella Classico Superiore has a dry and smooth taste, due to the 12-month aging in Slavonian oak barrels. The nose offers delicate hints of black cherry and herbaceous notes, while the sip is elegant with the right texture of freshness and flavor. A great classic from the Zenato winery.

Goes well with pasta dishes, red meats, roasts or grilled meats
