Vinous Notes

The 2018 Zeni Teroldego Lealbere from the Rotaliano cru is dark and intense in the glass, wafting up with masses of mineral-infused black cherry and blackberries. It's supple and ripe, without a hard edge in sight, yet also full of lively acids that balance things out nicely. Saturating wild berry fruit slowly evolves, then morphs into sour cranberry with a hint of subtle spice. This pure Teroldego ferments on the skins for ten days and then spends six months in steel tanks before bottling. It's enjoyable from start to finish.
