Tasting Notes

This is a classic wine expressive of the Sonoma Coast with savory aromas of wild cherry, sumac, toasted almond and tamarind. The palate has a soft texture and nice core of acidity, showing its youth and exuberance. The wine broadens with flavors of barberries, quince and rhubarb and will benefit greatly from decanting in the early years of enjoyment. 

About the Winery

After four decades of farming grapes for some of the finest Napa Valley wineries, fourth-generation farmer Doug and his family decided they should enter the wine business.

Hill Family Estate was born out of the desire for the family to work together – sharing the experience of crafting fine wines that showcased the grapes that Doug farmed and then introducing those wines to the consumer at a tasting room in their hometown, and American foodie capital, Yountville, California.
