Winemaker Notes

This wine is made from the pink-skinned Moschofilero grape only grown in the high plateau of Arcadia in southern Greece. The variety is thousands of years old, but the bottle should only last you minutes!

Stainless-steel fermented. Dry, crisp, and very aromatic on the nose. The palate has fresh citrus peel and floral notes.  Intensively floral, rose pedals and ginger come forward followed by a quince jam flavor. Slightly tannic taste with balanced acidity.

Its complex and full taste makes it a great accompaniment with a wide range of food like pasta with tomato sauce, grilled squid or even grilled steak.

Vineyard Notes

The Troupis family has farmed the Mantinia plateau of the Peloponnese since the 1970s, growing fruit trees, flowers, and - of course - grapes from their nursery. The microclimate of this part of southern Greece is particularly suited to the traditional moschofilero grape, which grows only on the high plateau of Arcadia. The Troupis family established their modern winery in 2010 in the Fteri (“fern”) region in the heart of Mantinia at 700 m elevation. With a total of nearly 70 acres under vine, they remain focused on using modern technology to showcase the best traditional grapes of the area.
