From the region of Colares in Western Portugal, Haja Cortezia wines benefit from coastal winds and calciferous soil rich in marine mineral deposits. The estate is just 3 km from the ocean, and the winemakers are known to walk through the vineyards with surfboards in hand. This refreshing red made from Castelão and Tinta Roriz grapes is ripe with passionfruit and ruby citrus, complemented by subtle minerality. It can be enjoyed slightly chilled or room temperature and pairs well with roasted pork dishes or a smoky three bean chili.
