95pts Jeb Dunnuck
Coming from own-rooted vines planted in 1981 in Yamhill-Carlton, the 2022 Pinot Noir Resonance Vineyard offers wonderfully layered notes of crushed fresh cherries, pine spice, sweet herbs, and forest earth. Aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak barrels and revealing a touch more body, it’s medium-framed, with ripe tannins and a light umami undertone, although it’s lovely and pure throughout. A very well-styled wine with good structure, it’s going to be worth snapping up from Jadot’s Resonance Estate, which is led by Guillaume Large. Drink 2024-2040.
94pts Wine Spectator
Fragrant raspberry and fresh violet aromas lead to elegantly layered cherry, mineral and savory tea flavors, with a silky mouthfeel that slowly builds tension on the polished finish. Drink now through 2033. 15,299 cases made.
93pts James Suckling
Aromas rich in savory, woodsy and spicy notes lead to vibrant black cherries, grilled plums, mushrooms, star anise and a touch of black pepper. Distinctive for a broad Willamette Valley bottling, this is lively and medium-bodied. Drink now or hold.
93pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is bursting with aromas of pomegranate, lavender, forest floor and herbal hints. The palate is open and inviting, offering concentrated, spicy flavors. It’s structured by silky tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, nuanced finish. 14,900 cases produced.
92pts Vinous
A pretty blend of steeped plums and violet flowers introduces the 2022 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley. This is cool-toned and classic in feel, with ripe red and blue fruits that flow across textures of pure silk, leaving a tinge of sweet spice toward the close. An air of lavender lingers along with ripe blackberries and hints of sage as the 2022 tapers off with stunning length and gentle tannins. This is a wonderfully harmonious effort that will reward cellaring.
Tasting Notes
A beautiful bright ruby color for this expressive wine, with aromas of blueberry, raspberry, orange peel, rose, lavender, black pepper, and morel mushroom. The palate is generous, fresh, and fruity, and the tannins are well balanced by a pleasant acidity: a wine that is very alive!

About the Winery
It was a crisp spring day in April 2013 when Thibault Gagey and Jacques Lardière set out to survey a well-established Oregon vineyard named Resonance tucked into the hills of the coast range near Carlton. Jacques had just retired after leading winemaking at Maison Louis Jadot for 42 years, and Thibault, whose family has operated Maison Louis Jadot since 1962, was ready to enter the business with a bold new project. They immediately felt a deep connection with the place, and after tasting through dozens of wines made with the vineyard’s fruit, Jacques sat back and said, “Perfect.”
Pierre-Henry Gagey, the President of Maison Louis Jadot and Thibault’s father, agreed. They decided to keep the vineyard’s title, and they also named their new winery—Maison Louis Jadot’s first outside of Burgundy—in its honor. With the same meaning in English and French, Résonance evokes many great things to come. They added the tiny but all-important accent mark to represent this small but special connection between Oregon and France.
