Winemaker Notes

Top quality fruit from the historic Yountville appellation is the foundation for this seemingly more expensive red blend. A traditional “right-bank” blend based on 67% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc from various old vine heritage vineyards in Napa Valley. Balanced aromas that run the spectrum of earthy to delectable. Mixed red and blue fruits, salted caramel, Medjool dates, and savory oak notes find themselves alongside cassis, red currants and cleansing acidity.

A nose of fresh black cherries, dusty raspberries, cocoa powder, lilacs, and cool minerals lead into unctuous layers of warm cassis, black raspberries, and currant. The mid-palate is dense and expressive, full of fresh berries and exotic spices, all leading to a soft and plush finish.
