Winemaker Notes

An inky purple in the glass, one is surprised by how light on its feet this rustic red really is. Teran is one of the indigenous varieties Croatians are so proud of. Floral aromas greet the nose and flavors of dark fruits envelop the palate.

This one shows medium deep, violet colour a bit less intense of what we usually get from a typical Teran. Very open, youthful on the nose, showing a myriad of crushed red and black fruits such as redberries, raspberries, black cherries, and forest fruits with a nice spicy layer such as black pepper. With a bit of time gentle notes of chocolate and cacao appear. There is a touch of forest floor notes. Very inviting.

Dry on the palate, with higher acidity levels so typical of Teran, giving it crispiness and vibrancy. There seems to be a touch more tannins than usually, giving it perhaps a slightly longer live expectance. Medium bodied.

In a word, a fine crafted modern style of Teran from Istria which features drinkability, freshness, fruitiness, and liveliness. A lovely wine by glass.
