Tasting Notes

Bright red in color. On the nose, ripe red fruit, mostly cherries, spicy hints and a light note of cocoa. The fruity aroma on the nose is confirmed on the palate, accompanied by hints of liquorice. Long and persistent in the finale.

About the Wine

Tinazzi makes excellent Veronese wines; which means they are masters at Amarone, Valpolicella and the like. This “family selection” is made from dried grapes, as is the tradition with Amarone, but here it’s made into a dry wine, and the alcohol isn’t as lofty as with Amarone. So it’s like baby Amarone, made 100% from Corvina, the best grape of the region.

Ca’ de’ Rocchi wines are made using native yeasts, naturally present on the grape skins, which give a unique character to the wines, enhancing the authentic expression of the terroir and adapting each year to the specificities of the harvest. Often defined as “international”, the Ca’de’ Rocchi line is suited to palates less inclined to the intense and persistent notes of traditional Valpolicella wines. It is particularly appreciated by younger consumers, attracted by its freshness and accessibility.
