Winery Notes

The Domaine du Colombier has been a family property since 1887, passed down for several generations. It was in 1957 that Mr Guy MOTHE specialized in the winemaking of Chablis. Currently, his three sons, Jean-Louis, Thierry and Vincent, operate 55 hectares of vines. They are planted exclusively with Chardonnay and produce dry, limpid, lively and light white wines, with a characteristic yellow color with subtle white-green reflections.

It was in the mid-1980s that the estate began marketing in bottles. Today, production is 430,000 bottles per year, 80% of which is for export. The Domaine du Colombier vinifies the 4 controlled designations of origin of the Chablis vineyard.
