The pure limestone. The exposed location and the elevated crest of the Frauenberg demand everything from the vines: On the one hand the heat of the southern orientation, on the other hand the constantly cool winds, which leave the grapes as if on the train. Together with the mineral-rich but extremely barren soil, in which the vine has to root very deep in order to get nutrients, the conditions for a long and healthy growing season are ideal.
