An American story of an engineer and his wife from Iran arriving in the U.S. with an entrepreneurial spirit. They built a grocery business that would eventually help them transition into wine, which Darioush had been interested in since his days back home. Their legacy is fully realized today and remain a family business while employing some of the most skillful hands in the industry to guide them. This comes through in the wine. It has a perfumed nose with beautiful dense, dark fruit notes. The palate is very even and integrated with a soft yet powerful mouthfeel.

The remarkable 2021 vintage celebrates Darioush’s 25th anniversary and bottling of Signature Cabernet Sauvignon. After decades of meticulous vineyard management, our estate vineyards spanning Southern Napa Valley and high atop Mount Veeder have hit their stride, producing fruit with splendid concentration, compelling freshness, and graceful complexity.

Rewarding with extraordinary depth and poise, the drinking pleasure of 2021 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon begins with notes of royal cassis that fan out on the palate and continue with silky black cherry and refined dark berry fruit framed by bakers’ chocolate, cedar, and toasted sage. A lush, supple midpalate displays firm yet suave tannins balanced by a juicy texture thanks to the Merlot contributed from the hillside estate vineyard. This is both a classic wine and vintage, with a flourish of brambly blackberry fruit lifted by accents of violets and bergamot that echo on the finish.
