92pts Vinous

The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Vielles Vignes was a bottle that I picked off the list at L'O des Vignes bistro in Fuissé and again at Justerini & Brooks' wine bar in London. It completely justified the score I awarded out of barrel. Vibrant and captivating on the nose, the aromatics seem to shimmer with nascent promise, touches of orchard fruit, Anjou pears and lemon rind. The palate has a steely intensity that makes it seem as if it comes from a cooler growing season, but there is plenty of concentration on the finish. Impressive (and delicious).
